A day out from Les Diablerets

Gstaad, Glacier 3000 and a mountain pass in one good day.

Gstaad · Col du Pillon · Glacier 3000 · seasonal bus route

Gstaad is not the address of the homes. It is the other side of the pass, close enough for a day of cafés, shopping and a change of scenery before you come back to a quieter village.

Plan the journey

A day that works

Pick one main outing, then leave room for the mountain.

  • Start with the Gstaad village streets and lunch, then stop at the Col du Pillon viewpoint on the way back.
  • On a clear day, make Glacier 3000 the main event: the Peak Walk suspension bridge, Glacier Walk and the high-altitude views are all part of the pedestrian experience.
  • In summer, the Alpine Coaster is a 1 km ride with 10 curves, 6 waves and 3 jumps. It operates weather permitting and is not a winter activity.
  • Without a car, check the seasonal Gstaad–Col du Pillon–Glacier 3000–Les Diablerets bus and the last return before you leave.

For families

Glacier 3000 gives skiers and non-skiers something to do together. The cable car, bridge, glacier walk and snow fun are the easy shared parts of the day.

For a slower day

Walk around Gstaad, stop for coffee, and come back via Lac Retaud. The lake loop is a short, family-friendly walk, with the auberge beside the water.
