A family day from Les Diablerets

Glacier 3000 is more than a ski day.

Peak Walk · Glacier Walk · snow fun · Alpine Coaster · sled dogs

The cable car takes you from Col du Pillon to nearly 3,000 metres. Skiers, grandparents and children can all have a good day there, but the weather matters more than the forecast at the house.

The wow moment

Walk across the 107-metre Peak Walk suspension bridge, which connects two peaks. It is included in the pedestrian ticket and opens weather permitting.

For non-skiers

Take the Glacier Walk, look out from the summit, have lunch at altitude or use the snow fun area. The cable car ride itself is part of the outing.

For children who want speed

The summer Alpine Coaster is the world’s highest rail toboggan run. It is 1 km long with 10 curves, 6 waves and 3 jumps. Children from age 3 can ride with an older person, subject to the operator’s rules.

For a special winter day

Sled-dog rides are offered at Glacier 3000 on selected dates. They are bookable activities, not a daily guarantee, so check the current listing.

Before leaving

Pack for a different climate.

  • Check the live opening page, webcam and wind before driving to Col du Pillon.
  • Bring sunglasses, gloves and an extra layer even on a warm village morning.
  • Allow time for the cable-car queue, lunch and the return. The last descent is not the moment to discover the bus has stopped.
  • For current tickets, access and activity rules, use the official access page.
